{"id":49252,"title":"Manuel Escudero, patron of Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n, has passed away","type":"actualidad","template":"","content":"Manuel Escudero, 79 years old, patron of Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n and president of the Avanza Foundation, economist and a reference in the international field of sustainability and responsible management, passed away on March 23, 2026.\r\n\r\nHe trained at the University of Deusto and the London School of Economics. He was Ambassador of Spain to the OECD and chaired its Development Center. His career connected business, economy, and social responsibility. He founded the UN PRME and actively collaborated in the Global Compact, promoting partnerships between the public sector, private sector, and civil society. In the academic field, he was a professor and held positions at IE Business School.\r\n\r\nHe directed Deusto Business School and the Global Compact Research Center in New York. Additionally, he founded the Progressive Economy Forum and collaborated with initiatives such as the Novia Salcedo Foundation.\r\n\r\nManuel joined the Board of Trustees of Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n in December 2024, in line with a career marked by his commitment to a more responsible economy connected to social and global challenges.
