{"id":50177,"title":"Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n provides training to young people affected by the floods in Niger to improve their job prospect","type":"actualidad","template":"","content":"Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n is working in Niamey (Niger) with <strong>young people affected by the floods<\/strong> who have lost their homes and opportunities. Our goal is clear: <strong>to facilitate their access to vocational training and improve their employment prospects.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nWe are currently supporting 50 young people between the ages of 15 and 22 who live in the Kongou Zamay settlement in Niamey\u2019s Commune III. This group is particularly vulnerable, with a high risk of dropping out of school, early unemployment, and social exclusion.\r\n\r\nTo ensure the project\u2019s impact, we began with a participatory assessment alongside local authorities and public agencies in Niger. This allowed us to identify real needs and design a meaningful intervention.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the young people themselves participated in the process, choosing the training programs that best suit their future careers. This approach strengthens their engagement and increases the chances of success.\r\n\r\nThe <strong>vocational training program<\/strong>, which ran from October 2025 to February 2026, covers three key areas: sewing, mechanics, and electricity. These are high-demand sectors that facilitate <strong>access to employment<\/strong> or <strong>self-employment in Niger.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe <strong>training<\/strong> takes place directly in the settlement thanks to a mobile center, removing barriers to access and ensuring the participation of <strong>young people displaced by the floods.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe project also incorporates an equality approach, with balanced participation of girls and boys, promoting real opportunities for all.\r\n\r\nThrough this initiative, Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n seeks to generate a sustainable impact: improving employability, promoting self-employment, and facilitating the<strong> job placement of young people<\/strong> <strong>in vulnerable contexts.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nBecause the response to the floods in Niger is not just about the emergency.
