Ayuda en Acción has been working in Nicaragua since 1993. We work in the fields of education, gender, the promotion of employment and entrepreneurship, and the protection of human rights.
Allocated funds.
Entrepreneurs strengthened their business management with mentoring, materials and equipment.
Children and adolescents received training and improved their digital competencies and skills.
We promote quality education in rural schools through innovation and the strengthening of STEAM capacities among teachers and students, prioritizing children in vulnerable situations.
Through dairy, coffee, honey and sustainable tourism enterprises, we improve the income and community engagement of women and young people. We promote gender equality and economic empowerment and support sustainable tourism, also fostering public-private partnerships.
We strengthen coordination between institutions and communities to prevent gender violence and child labor, aligning ourselves with Nicaragua’s protection policies. We provide psychological and legal support to victims, train women and families in prevention, and encourage the participation of men in positive masculinities. In addition, we reinforce comprehensive sex education and attend to girls at risk of exploitation.
