Frequently asked questions about collaboration between companies and NGOs

What types of corporate donations are tax-deductible?
Deductions for donations in corporate income tax (IS) and personal income tax (IRPF) in Spain are tax incentives to encourage donations to non-profit entities. In the corporate income tax, solidarity companies can deduct donations from their taxable income, subject to certain limits. In personal income tax, taxpayers can deduct a percentage of the amounts donated from their taxable income. The deduction percentages for corporate donations and the limits may vary depending on the beneficiary entity and the amount of the donation.
How much is a contribution to an NGO tax deductible?
If you make a corporate donation, you will be able to deduct 40% of the amount donated. If you have been donating to Ayuda en Acción for more than two years and with an equivalent or higher amount, you will be able to deduct up to 50%.
What is solidarity marketing?
"Solidarity", "cause" or "social" marketing aims to raise funds for a cause with which the company or foundation is in some way linked. This collaborative strategy has an impact on your reputation by increasing trust among your customers and stakeholders.
What is corporate volunteering?
Corporate volunteering is the opportunity for employees to volunteer during the workday to contribute to various social and/or environmental causes supported by the company. The people who participate do so freely and altruistically and contribute with their time and knowledge.
What is pro bono work?
Pro bono work is professional work performed free of charge for non-profit organizations. The most common pro bono actions are those related to assistance to the organization and its management, consulting, research, legal, as well as training for employees.
