The Nex4Food program aims to strengthen nutritional resilience, with a particular emphasis on the prevention of acute and moderate malnutrition. This is achieved by strengthening the value chain and improving market access to fortified products for children. Based on the premise of “more innovation for better nutrition” and partnerships with multiple stakeholders, the nexus approach anticipates the risks and crises facing the program’s beneficiary population. The program includes a set of actions that minimize the vulnerability of this population, by creating links between stakeholders and humanitarian organizations. Our intervention also extends to medium risk areas, where populations displaced by conflict have settled. The results of the capitalization study fully confirm the success of Nex4Food, highlighting a substantial 41% increase in millet yield, attesting to the positive impact on improving agricultural production. In addition, the significant reduction in MAM, reaching 92% of children and women of childbearing age, highlights the project’s success in improving nutritional health.
