This study carries out a medium-term prospective exercise on the situation of youth in Spain, focusing on the connection with the labor market. It is based on a set of areas of prospective interest in relation to youth employment and education, understanding that these are elements of context that affect the object of study and its positioning in relation to employment, for which an extensive review and analysis of secondary and bibliographic sources has been carried out, in addition to a thematic study based on the Labour Force Survey of prospective analysis in quantitative terms on sectors and occupations of the future by virtue of the trends detected in some countries of the European Union. In addition, and as a key part of the analysis, the results of the consultation with a multidisciplinary panel of experts with extensive experience and knowledge in different areas have been incorporated. These sources have been used to identify possible future scenarios, such as the trend scenario, the risks and the desirable scenario, understood as the best among the options considered viable. This analysis resulted in a series of public policy recommendations to achieve the desirable scenario.
